A Major role of Knights Point Air is surveying flights over the critically endangered Haast Tokoeka and Rowi Kiwi. These flights are essential for the Department of Conservation staff in knowing what the populations of these magnificent creatures are doing. You can help by joining Blair. We fly for an hour over the sanctuaries of the kiwi as well as taking in glaciers, river valleys and mountains. All the while collecting invaluable data from the radio tagged kiwi. Ironically this job ‘kills two birds with one stone’. By you joining us, the kiwi are monitored at a reduced cost to conservation which in turn means we can do more to help them. In addition, you will learn about what it takes for kiwi recovery, and hopefully you will be able to use this amazing opportunity to become the latest advocates for the kiwis plight for survival.
